Team Leader – Packing Operations
Location: Yennora, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time | Day Shift
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 + super | Permanent opportunity

A growing food repacking and logistics business is seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee and support daily packing operations across two key product lines. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that repacking processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of 7-10 pickers/packers, including agency casuals
• Taking full responsibility for the repacking area in the absence of the Production Supervisor
• Ensuring all team members understand and follow company policies and production expectations
• Supervising repack teams including training, scheduling, and performance management
• Ensuring packing is completed accurately, on time, and in full
• Setting up and balancing packing lines to minimise downtime and bottlenecks
• Maintaining clean, safe, and compliant work areas
• Addressing operational issues such as machinery breakdowns, quality concerns, or staff shortages
• Supporting preventative maintenance and smooth operation of equipment and systems

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in repacking, production, or manufacturing
• Previous experience in a supervisory, team leadership, or 2IC role (preferred)
• Valid forklift license (essential)
• Experience working in chiller warehouse environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead a team of 7-10 people under pressure and make quick, effective decisions
• Proficient in or willing to learn MS Office (Excel, Word), Deputy, Employment Hero, and WMS
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
• Proactive, approachable, and collaborative leadership style
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules
