Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a Production Team Leader for its Geelong site. The role entails taking frontline leadership on the production floor, ensuring labour coverage, food safety, and operational requirements across day and night shifts.

The successful candidate will lead a team of production employees, build strong relationships with operators and collaborate with other site functions to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of production teams of 10+ employees.
• Frontline people leadership and team development capability.
• Experience within food, beverage or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Sound working knowledge of food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of production employees.
• Provide support and oversight across the night shift operation.
• Manage rostering and labour resourcing across day and night shifts.
• Maintain strong food safety and operational standards.
• Build engagement, accountability and stability within the production team.

• Utilise SAP to support production and labour planning.
• Work closely with other site functions to support daily production requirements.

About the role

This role will take ownership of frontline production leadership across the Geelong site. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong presence on the production floor, build effective relationships with operators and ensure labour coverage, food safety and operational requirements are consistently met across both day and night operations.

• Experience managing rosters and labour requirements
• SAP experience or exposure to comparable ERP systems
• A hands‑on, approachable and accountable leadership style
• Flexibility to support night shift coverage when required
