Job summary

Evolve Scientific Recruitment PTY Ltd is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations in a regional Victorian food processing facility. The role involves guiding a team, driving safety and quality, and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant lifecycle.

The successful candidate will manage 12-hour rotating day/night shifts on a 4-on-4-off cycle during the processing season and assist in the maintenance shed during the off-season, with relocation

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in manufacturing/processing environments.
• Fitting/welding qualifications and maintenance experience are required.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and team development skills.
• Proven ability to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Experience with production reporting, quality systems, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production activities to maximise throughput, minimise downtime, and achieve targets.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor plant performance, maintain production records, ensure product quality and traceability.
• Develop, coach and support team members through training, multi-skilling, performance management, and engagement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Assist with budget management, cost control, reporting and capex planning.
• Conduct audits, enforce company policies and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Support plant projects, maintenance initiatives and act as escalation point for major production issues.

• Join a leading food processing operation and play a key role in driving safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.
• Seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations, support team development, and champion continuous improvement across the plants
• Based in regional VIC (close to Mildura)
• Permanent opportunity

• 4-on-4-off rotating night and day shifts of 12 hours in length during the processing season, and assist in the maintenance shed during the off-season

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate production activities to maximise throughput, minimise downtime, and achieve operational targets.

• Monitor plant performance, maintain accurate production records, and ensure product quality and traceability requirements are met.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower operating costs.
• Assist with budget management, cost control, reporting, and capital expenditure planning.
• Conduct audits, enforce company policies and procedures, and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Support plant projects, maintenance initiatives, and serve as a key escalation point for major production issues.

Skills/experience:

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment.
• Must have fitting/welding qualifications and maintanence experience
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
