Job summary

Bega Group is seeking a Production Supervisor at our Tatura dairy site in Victoria. The role involves leading the production team on a 4 on/4 off, 12-hour rotating day and night shift schedule to ensure safe, efficient and compliant manufacturing.

You will drive a Safety Always culture, uphold GMP and quality standards, and coach team members to improve capability and performance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Evidence of leading teams in dairy or food manufacturing.
• Forklift license is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety and quality systems.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the production team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain GMP, food safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet targets and customer specs.
• Coach and develop team members, promoting multi-skilling.

Full-Time, Permanent Production Supervisor

Opportunity to be a part of a leading Australian dairy manufacturer

4 on 4 off rotating day and night shift, 12h/shift

The Role

Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country's largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production operations.
• Drive a strong Safety Always culture while ensuring GMP, food safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met.
• Coordinate daily production activities to achieve manufacturing targets, product specifications, and customer requirements.
• Coach, develop, and support team members through training, performance management, and multi-skilling initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and plant performance.

About You

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within dairy, food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar production environment.
• Valid forklift license is required.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams, build capability, and foster a high-performance culture.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills with the ability to manage operational priorities.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing system
