Job summary

BUMA Australia is seeking a Production Supervisor for Goonyella, Moranbah, to lead safe day-to-day production execution and support crews to meet production plans with a strong safety focus.

The role requires 5+ years in open cut coal production and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, plus Queensland mining legislation knowledge and a valid C class licence. Camp accommodation, bus transport, and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' production experience in an open cut coal mining operation.
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in an open cut coal mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland coal mining legislation and site safety requirements.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day control and supervision of production activities in accordance with site standards and relevant mining legislation.
• Manage people and equipment to safely execute production plans and achieve operational targets.
• Allocate workloads across the production team, monitor performance and support crews to deliver quality outcomes.

• Collaborate with the Production Superintendent to ensure the effective delivery of production plans, monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify hazards, manage risk and ensure compliance with BUMA systems, procedures and client requirements.

About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time permanent Production Supervisor to join our Goonyella team. In this role, you will lead the safe day-to-day execution of production activities, supporting crews to deliver against plan while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, equipment utilisation and team performance.

Key responsibilities include:

About You:

BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
