Job summary

Bundaberg Molasses, part of Bundaberg Sugar Group, is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor at its Oakey plant. You will lead a small team, coordinate daily production and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will report to the Manager and be involved in production administration, stock control and customer service, while supporting continuous improvement across the plant operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant production or manufacturing experience with the ability to guide and support others.
• Forklift licence is essential.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Good data entry and clear reporting skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Focus on safety, product quality and reliable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily production, allocating work and guiding plant operators.
• Ordering raw materials, parts and repairs with the Manager’s input.
• Monitoring stock levels, leading stocktakes and maintaining inventory records.
• Coordinating customer orders and deliveries, communicating with customers and suppliers.
• Completing production data entry, invoicing and operational reports.
• Maintaining production and quality records and supporting GMP/ISO9001/FeedSafe compliance.
• Promoting safe work practices and identifying process improvements.
• Assisting with plant operations and supporting quality, safety and admin activities.

Production Supervisor

Following an internal restructure, Bundaberg Molasses is looking for its next production leader. Based at Oakey, this hands‑on role offers the opportunity to guide a small team and coordinate production through to customer delivery.

About us

Bundaberg Molasses, part of the Bundaberg Sugar Group, produces and supplies molasses‑based liquid feed supplements to the cattle feedlot and stockfeed industries.

We are seeking a practical, organised Production Supervisor to coordinate day‑to‑day production at our Oakey plant.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Bundaberg Molasses, you will guide a small team, organise production requirements and coordinate deliveries to ensure customer orders are fulfilled safely, accurately and on time.

This is a hands‑on supervisory role combining work on the plant floor with production administration, stock control and customer service. You will need to be comfortable operating the plant when required, supporting your team and keeping production moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating daily production, allocating work and providing clear guidance to plant operators.
• Ordering raw materials, parts and repairs in consultation with the Manager.
• Monitoring stock levels, leading stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Coordinating customer orders and deliveries, and communicating with customers, suppliers and transport providers.
• Completing production data entry, sales invoicing and operational reports.
• Maintaining production and quality records and supporting compliance with site management systems, including GMP, ISO 9001 and FeedSafe requirements.
• Promoting safe work practices and identifying opportunities to improve production processes.
• Assisting with plant operations and supporting quality, safety and administration activities as required.

Overtime will be required from time to time to meet operational needs.

About you

You may be an experienced Production Supervisor or a leading hand ready to take the next step. You will bring a practical approach, clear communication and the ability to organise people and tasks in a small team.

You will need:

• Relevant production or manufacturing experience, with the ability to guide and support others.
• A current forklift licence—essential.
• A current driver’s licence.
• Sound computer skills, including accurate data entry and the ability to prepare clear reports.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• A focus on safety, product quality and reliable customer service.
• The willingness to work hands‑on and carry out a variety of tasks under the Manager’s direction.

Experience in agricultural products, stockfeed or logistics will be well regarded.
