Job summary

Nu Mega Ingredients, a world-leading supplier of microencapsulated omega-3 and omega-6 powders, emulsions and nutritional oils, is seeking a Production Supervisor based onsite in Melbourne. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead daily production activities and drive safety and quality outcomes.

You will plan staffing and resources, monitor yields and performance, and develop the team through shift handovers and operational reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing supervisory role.
• Experience leading and motivating production staff.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and quality systems.
• Effective planning, prioritisation and problem-solving.
• Clear written and verbal communication and reporting.
• A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead production activities in accordance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements as well as achieving production targets, coordinating resources and continually improving plant performance.

What you’ll do

The successful applicant must also be able to provide support outside regular hours and on weekends when operationally required.

What you bring

• At least three years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating production staff.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and quality systems.
• Effective planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication and reporting capabilities.
• A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
