Job summary

George Weston Foods’ Tip Top Bakeries site in Brisbane is seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will coach and develop the team to achieve production targets safely and efficiently, while promoting a culture of engagement and high performance.

You will collaborate with the supply, maintenance, and planning teams to optimise productivity, manage change, and uphold food safety and quality standards across shifts in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Supervisory or leadership role.
• FMCG or fast-paced production/manufacturing experience would be highly regarded.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Extensive problem-solving skills and ability to identify a way forward.

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and driving employee engagement? Our Tip Top Springwood site is looking for a dynamic Production Supervisor to join our team and lead by example.

Reporting to the Production Manager this role will coach and develop the team to deliver production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

Rosters

• 6-month FTC - Wed (12pm-8pm), Thurs (3pm-1am), Fri (4pm-2am), Sat (2pm-2am)
• Permanent FT - Sun (2am-2pm), Mon (2am-12pm), Tues (1am-11am), Wed (1am-9am)

Purpose of the Role

• Manage clear expectations for the team, provide appropriate resources and tools to get the job done, along with high support and high challenge
• Consistently provide open and honest, candid feedback ‘in the moment’, recognising people for doing great work, and addressing performance issues early
• Identify and actively promote continuous improvement to product, processes and systems within any facet of the work environment
• Collaborate with the supply, maintenance, and planning teams to improve productivity and make necessary amendments to the production plan
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment that does not tolerate unsafe behaviour or acts
• Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are adhered to
• Support change and foster an environment where change is embraced

About You

• Min 2+ years in a Supervisory or leadership role
• FMCG or other fast paced production/manufacturing experience would be highly regarded
• Proven leadership skills
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Extensive problem-solving skills and ability to identify a way forward when presented with issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
