Job summary

Hanwha Defence Australia – Avalon Airport VIC is seeking a hands-on Production Spray Painter to join our growing team. You will prepare and paint HDA vehicles to exacting standards, contributing to our defence capability and meeting safety, quality, cost, and efficiency targets.

In this role you will work with a high-performing team to identify issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement solutions to optimise production outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (preferred).
• Experience in automotive, industrial, manufacturing, or related paint environment.
• Proven experience preparing surfaces and applying coatings to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Knowledge of paint mixing, colour matching, coating application, and testing processes.
• Strong skills using hand and power tools.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
• The ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience with quality assurance systems and processes.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Your New Role

As a Production Spray Painter, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our production paint facility. You will be responsible for preparing and painting HDA vehicles to exacting quality standards while ensuring production targets for safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and waste reduction are achieved.

Working as part of a high-performing team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process issues, troubleshooting root causes, and implementing effective solutions to optimise production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
