Job summary

Woodside Petroleum Ltd in Australia is seeking an Offshore Services Technician to support FPSO operations. The role covers safe operation, maintenance of production assets, lifting equipment, crane operations, rigging and on-board logistics within a multi-disciplinary team. FIFO roster: 3 weeks on, 3 off, from Perth.

You will report to the Execution Superintendent, ensure ISSOW/MOC compliance, and contribute to ERP readiness. Relevant High Risk Work licences and HLO/HDA credentials are valued.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High Risk Work Licence - Advanced rigging, dogging and scaffolder competency.
  • CT Crane Tower competency is preferred.
  • HLO and HDA credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Operate safely within offshore facility using ISSOW, First Priority and MOC.
  • Provide lifting equipment advice to technicians and assist in crane operations.
  • Inspect and maintain lifting tools and equipment; update lifting register.
  • Plan, execute and document maintenance activities in SAP PM.
  • Support OSV and offtake operations and participate in Emergency Response Team.

About the Role

A FPSO is an offshore production facility receiving multiphase hydrocarbons from subsea oil and gas fields, processing, stabilising, storing and offloading crude oil for export while supporting safe and reliable production operations.

Offshore Services Technician on the FPSO is a multiskilled position working within a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of the production assets and supports the logistics coordination process. The position also provides specialised crane operation, rigging, dogging, stores and general logistics support on the asset.

Reporting to the Execution Superintendent, the applicant will work a FIFO roster (3 wks on- 3 wks off -3 wks on – 6 wks off) mobilising from point of hire Perth.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working within and contributing to the safe operation of facility using corporate and asset systems and processes ( ISSOW, First Priority, Management of Change)
  • Responsible for providing support and advice in lifting equipment in a safe and efficient manner to enable technicians to conduct maintenance.
  • Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of all lifting tools and equipment. Includes maintaining the facility equipment lifting equipment register.
  • Responsible for undertaking and completing maintenance activities in both planning, execution; recording and reporting in maintenance systems e.g. SAP PM.
  • Responsible for Helideck operations and associated materials handling operations.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly basic equipment care for certified equipment -Cranes, Lifting Appliances and equipment
  • Provide onboard support for OSV and offtake operations.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team, providing initial response during incidents.
  • Awareness knowledge of facility/asset/plant – Lifting safety requirements
Skills and Experience
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable effective communication with key stakeholders
  • High Risk Work Licence - Advanced rigging, dogging and scaffolder competency
  • CT Crane Tower competency, preferred but not essential.
  • Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Helideck Assistant (HDA)
