Job summary

Stramit, a leading Australian manufacturer of roll-formed steel building products, seeks a proactive Production Planner. You will develop production plans, monitor capacity, and analyse data to optimise schedules and inventory.

You will work closely with Production, Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain teams to drive DIFOTIS outcomes. You will interpret operational data, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient manufacturing

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with data and turning it into actionable insights.
• Experience in production planning or supply chain planning in manufacturing.
• Strong ERP experience, Movex is highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing data and recommend actions.
• Continuous improvement mindset with willingness to challenge processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to meet customer demand.
• Monitor capacity and balance workloads across the site.
• Generate and analyse production, inventory and performance reports.
• Manage ERP data integrity and planning information.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise schedules and efficiency.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support inventory management, cycle counting and raw material control.
• Report to site leadership with recommendations.

You'll play a critical part in ensuring our manufacturing operations run efficiently, customer orders are delivered on time, inventory is optimised, and production capacity is maximised. Working closely with Production, Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain teams, you'll use data and insights to influence outcomes and continually improve how we operate.We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, challenges the status quo and is always looking for better ways of doing things. You don't wait to be told what needs attention, you identify issues, investigate the numbers and take action.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and maintaining production plans to meet customer demand.
• Monitoring manufacturing capacity and balancing workloads across the site.
• Generating and analysing production, inventory and performance reports.
• Managing ERP data integrity and planning information.
• Working closely with production teams to optimise schedules and improve efficiency.

• Supporting inventory management, cycle counting and raw material control.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve DIFOTIS outcomes.
• Providing regular reporting and recommendations to site leadership.

About you

You're someone who enjoys working with data, understands how numbers tell a story and can confidently translate insights into action.

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in production planning, supply chain planning or manufacturing operations.
• Strong ERP experience, with exposure to Movex highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• The ability to interpret operational and manufacturing data and make sound recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Energy, initiative and a genuine desire to drive outcomes
