Job summary

Naturally Bovine Australia in Young, NSW is seeking a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This full-time position operates and monitors production machinery, performs routine checks, and ensures quality and safety standards are met.

You will follow SOPs, document production data, conduct quality inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working safely in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Naturally Bovine Australia is seeking a Production Operator to join our dynamic team in Young, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing and production operations. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to our operations and directly contributes to delivering premium products to our customers.

What you'll be doing
  • Operating and monitoring production machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols
  • Performing routine maintenance checks on machinery to identify and report any defects or malfunctions
  • Adjusting machine settings and parameters to ensure products meet quality specifications and standards
  • Monitoring production output and recording production data accurately for reporting purposes
  • Conducting quality inspections on products at various stages of production to identify and rectify any issues
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Following standard operating procedures and work instructions consistently
  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production progress and any concerns
  • Troubleshooting minor operational issues and escalating problems when necessary
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the production facility
What we're looking for
  • Proven experience as a Production Operator or in a similar manufacturing or machine operation role
  • Strong understanding of production machinery and equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Strong focus on health and safety practices and adherence to workplace safety protocols
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a production environment
  • Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report issues promptly
  • Preferred: Experience in the food or agricultural manufacturing industry
  • Preferred: Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
