Job summary

Clear Gas is seeking a Production Operator to support daily cylinder preparation, filling and handling of calibration gas mixtures in a hands-on role. The successful candidate will follow procedures, work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to quality and safety in production operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas filling and production equipment.
• Prepare cylinders, including inspection, assembly and other pre-filling activities.
• Connect and disconnect cylinders, manifolds and gas lines safely.
• Follow production work instructions and batch documentation.
• Check cylinder identification, labels and production information.
• Perform basic production checks and record results accurately.
• Support sampling and testing activities as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe production area.
• Assist with cylinder handling, stock control and dispatch when required.
• Follow Clear Gas quality, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Job description

A casual position with the provision of transitioning to permanent role after 6 months.

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day cylinder preparation, filling and handling of specialty and calibration gas mixtures. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, follows procedures carefully and is able to work in a fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operating gas filling and production equipment.
• Preparing cylinders, including inspection, assembly and other pre-filling activities.
• Connecting and disconnecting cylinders, manifolds and gas lines safely.
• Following production work instructions and batch documentation.
• Checking cylinder identification, labels and production information.
• Performing basic production checks and recording results accurately.
• Supporting sampling and testing activities as required.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production area.
• Assisting with cylinder handling, stock control and dispatch when required.
• Following Clear Gas quality, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

About you

• Technical, engineering, science or chemical qualification would be an advantage.
• Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory work, warehousing or a similar environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Full training will be provided to the selected candidate.
