Job summary

Goodman Fielder Pty Limited's Forestville site in South Australia is hiring Qualified Bakers/Machine Operators and Process Operators to support production and slicing areas. The roles require adherence to health and safety, quality standards and hands-on teamwork in a fast-paced bakery environment.

On-the-job training and development are provided to establish long-term careers in baking. Successful applicants will operate machinery, perform start-up procedures, report food safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in food production or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to follow GMP and health & safety procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake training and competency assessments.
• Strong quality awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment according to SOPs.
• Execute start-up procedures and machine set-ups.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to procedures.
• Report food safety and quality incidents within timeframes.
• Attend training programs and quality inductions.
• Participate in weekly departmental meetings and team activities.

About the opportunity:Our Forestville site in South Australia is looking for Qualified Bakers/Machine Operators to join its operations. We are on the lookout for Process Operators to work across our production and slicing areas. The positions involve ensuring our production targets and compliance processes are met and if you take pride in Health and Safety, Quality and enjoy a hands-on role within a team working environment, you will fit right in. Full on the job training and development offered for people wanting to establish a long term career in Baking.Opportunities currently exist for:Bakehouse Line 1 - Shift 2: Tuesday 10.15am-7.45pm, Wednesday 10.15am-8.45pm, Thursday 10.15am-8.45pm, Friday 11.15am-8.45pm.Bakehouse Line 1 - Shift 3: Monday 11.15am-8.45pm, Thursday 1am-10.30am, Friday 1am-11.30am, Saturday 5am-3.30pm.Bakehouse Line 3 - Shift 2: Sunday 5am-2.30pm, Wednesday 6am-2.30pm, Thursday 6am-4.30pm, Friday 5am-4.30pm.Bread Room Line 2 - Shift 1: Monday 5am-11.30am, Tuesday 5am-11.30am, Wednesday 5am-12.30pm, Thursday 5am-1.30pm, Friday 5am-4.30pm.You will be responsible for:Operation of machinery and equipment as per safe operating proceduresExecutes start-up procedure and machine/equipment set ups, operational processes and cleaning processes correctly.Ensure all Food Safety and Quality incidents are accurately reported and recorded within specified time frames.Complete Quality Assurance and Food safety Induction and Competency quality assessment.Attend all relevant training programs.Achieve AERR and Waste on target.Active participation and attendance of weekly, monthly departmental meetingsTo be successful in this role you will need:Effective verbal and written communicationPracticeand display Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Health and Safety standardsQuality awarenessPrevious food industry experience or machine operation/process work is desirableAbout USGoodman Fielder is a leading regional food company across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
