Job summary

Holcim Australia is seeking a Production Officer for our North Maclean Mobile Plant. This 12-month fixed term contract involves concrete production, logistics coordination, and administration in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

The role includes on-site safety responsibilities, stock management, and collaboration with a close-knit team. Training is provided for equipment and systems, with some Saturdays required as project needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety and environmental processes and protocols.
• Produce concrete using multiple systems and processes.
• Allocate and coordinate loads to drivers and manage truck movements on site.
• Manage stock and coordinate deliveries.
• Assist contractors with site maintenance and yard operations.
• Operate front-end loader and perform manual handling of bagged products (training available).
• Maintain and use computer software applications (training provided).

About the opportunity

Holcim is currently looking for a Production Officer for their North Maclean Mobile Plant servicing a key Project. This role involves a mix of manual handling, logistics coordination and administration.

Roles in Concrete Plants are fast paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process driven with a high level of attention to detail.

This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy operational environment. You would normally work 05:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday and there would be a requirement to work some Saturdays (as needed).

Responsibilities

• Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes
• Production of concrete using multiple systems and processes
• Allocating and assigning loads to drivers as well as coordination of Trucks arriving & departing site
• Stock management and coordination of deliveries
• Assisting contractors carrying out site maintenance
• Yard maintenance, Front-end loader operation, shovelling and manual handling of bagged products
• Administration on a variety of computer software applications (training is provided on these)

Ideally, it would be great if you hold a current forklift ticket and have experience operating a front-end loader. However, we are more than happy to train & facilitate you obtaining these qualifications.

• Be able to physically perform all duties associated with the position
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening
• Flexibility to support different sites in Brisbane.

Additionally, you must hold full Australian work rights with no restrictions on hours worked or duration of employment. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept Holiday or Student visas.
