Job summary

CMTP, a leading Australian timber pallets manufacturer, is seeking a Production Manager to lead our Branxholm sawmill and manufacturing site. You will manage a team of approximately 30 employees, setting clear expectations and supporting your team to improve performance.

You will drive safety, quality and production, coach site leaders, implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S, and identify opportunities to improve processes.

CMTP is a leading Australian manufacturer of timber pallets, crates and packaging solutions, supplying customers for 50 years through a national network of sawmill and timber manufacturing sites.

We're looking for a Production Manager to lead our Branxholm sawmill and manufacturing site. Leading a team of approximately 30 employees, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, accountable and positive team environment where people understand what good performance looks like and feel supported to improve.

This is a role where your management and leadership experience will help shape day-to-day standards, strengthen team capability and support better ways of working across the site.

About The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the sawmill and manufacturing operation, setting clear expectations and supporting your team.

You'll Be Responsible For

• Driving safety, quality and production performance
• Coaching and developing site leaders and operators
• Implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives
• Identifying and delivering process improvements
• Supporting production planning and operational efficiency

About You

You’re a hands‑on leader who enjoys spending time with your team, creating clear expectations and helping people succeed. You bring a practical approach to problem solving and enjoy turning improvement ideas into real operational outcomes.
