Job summary

Rheinmetall Defence Australia at the MILVEHCOE in Brisbane seeks a Production Engineer to define and document production processes for Turret Assembly, Welding and other areas. You will collaborate with Configuration Management to maintain BoM, routings and material allocations, and keep SAP up to date to support production.

Responsibilities include applying lean techniques, coordinating with Leading Hands, and interfacing with Quality and Teamcenter to validate material specs and production

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process) or relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define and document production processes and activities for allocated areas (e.g., Turret Assembly, Welding).
• Collaborate with Configuration Management to develop and maintain accurate production BoM, routings and material allocations.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to define, develop and document production processes.
• Collaborate with Leading Hands and assembly staff to determine efficient manufacturing methodologies.
• Ensure SAP (MRP) is current with BoM, routings and material allocations to drive demand.
• Interface with Quality to embed checks and procedures in production sequences.
• Interrogate engineering data via Teamcenter to support material specifications and production sequences.
