Job summary

Rheinmetall Defence Australia, based at MILVEHCOE Redbank, Queensland, seeks a Team Leader to oversee floor production, coordinate shifts and uphold Lean, safety and quality targets. You’ll help assemble and finish composite armour panels, prep materials, treat surfaces and support bonding processes.

This role involves supervising two shifts and maintaining high standards across tasks. Experience in manufacturing, 2+ years in leadership, and the ability to obtain Australian Defence Security

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience; 2+ years leading teams.
• Hands on experience with Lean Manufacturing.
• Proficient in workforce management tools and shift planning.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment; vacuum sealing or adhesive bonding equipment experience advantageous.
• Ability to interpret engineering instructions and assemble components with attention to detail.
• Already holding or the ability to gain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Track production metrics to meet daily manufacturing targets.
• Assist with Production Manager with conducting daily and weekly audits / meetings.
• Assisting the Production Manager with shift handovers, rostering and training.
• Ensuring work is always done safely and up to the correct quality standards.
• Operating machinery and assembly of composite panels.
