Job summary
Origin Energy Limited is seeking a Production Engineer on a 12-month engagement in Brisbane, with site travel to Reedy Creek, Combabula and Peat. You will turn well data into smart decisions to lift production and impact field performance.
You will bring a Petroleum Engineering degree and upstream oil & gas experience, including artificial lift or reservoir engineering, plus a data-driven mindset and collaborative style. This role involves field work and close teamwork.
Qualifications
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in upstream oil and gas, including CSG subsurface work.
- Experience with artificial lift (PCP or rod pumps) or reservoir engineering.
- Ability to turn large volumes of data into clear actions.
- Collaborative style with ability to juggle several projects.
Responsibilities
- Keep wells running by improving pump and completion reliability.
- Identify and deliver production uplift opportunities.
- Shape operating guidelines that guide field decisions.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers on monthly forecasts and well reviews.
- Ensure wells stay safe and compliant and continue performing.
