Job summary

Allpress Espresso Ltd. in Melbourne is seeking a Production & Distribution Assistant to join our Reservoir roastery team. You’ll prepare customer orders, manage packing, move stock and support roasting operations, staying on your feet and collaborating with a close-knit team.

Ideal candidates have warehousing or packaging experience, a good eye for detail, basic Excel skills, and a safety-first mindset. A valid drive licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing and/or packaging line operations.
• Good eye for detail and pride in getting things right.
• Comfort with basic computer programs including Excel.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to pitch in.
• Able to lift and move loads up to 18kg safely.
• Able to handle 60–70kg green coffee sacks using appropriate equipment.
• Forklift licence or reach forklift experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack finished products for customers.
• Pack bagged coffee into boxes on packaging line.
• Check inbound deliveries and accurately count, record and report stock movements.
• Lend a hand loading green coffee into the roasting process using appropriate equipment.
• Keep roastery tidy, organised and running smoothly.
• Follow health, safety and manual handling procedures to keep yourself and the team safe.
• Pitch in with the team wherever needed because no two days are the same.

About your new role

We’re looking for a Production & Distribution Assistant to join our Melbourne roastery team based in Reservoir, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and our coffee making its way to customers across Australia.

Working across production, packing and distribution, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, preparing customer orders, keeping stock moving and lending a hand with the roasting process. It’s a hands‑on role for someone who likes being on their feet, working alongside a great team and taking pride in getting things done well.

A day in the life

• Prepare and pack finished products ready to make their way to our customers
• Keep things moving on the packaging line, packing bagged coffee into boxes
• Check inbound deliveries and accurately count, record and report stock movements
• Lend a hand loading green coffee into the roasting process, including handling sacks and bulk bags
• Help keep the roastery tidy, organised and running smoothly
• Follow health, safety and manual handling procedures to keep yourself and the team safe
• Pitch in with the team wherever needed because no two days in the roastery are exactly the same

About you

If you’ve spent some time in warehousing, production or packaging, even better. An interest in specialty coffee definitely helps too. You’ll be someone who:

• Has experience in warehousing and/or packaging line operations
• Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in getting things right
• Is comfortable using basic computer programs, including Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheets
• Brings a positive, collaborative attitude and is always happy to pitch in
• Is able to safely lift and move loads of up to 18kg
• Is comfortable safely handling 60–70kg green coffee sacks using the appropriate equipment
• Has a strong focus on safety and looks out for the people around them

A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport are preferred, and a forklift licence and/or reach forklift experience is a bonus.
