Job summary

SPX AtoN in Somerville is seeking a fast learner for an entry-level Production role in a manufacturing environment. You will assist in the assembly of marine buoy products and lights, test product functionality, and operate hand and power tools in a busy setting.

The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, with lifting up to 20kg and opportunities to gain forklift experience. A mechanical background is desirable and a willingness to learn is essential.

About the Position

Our Production division incorporates assembly duties, using a range of tools, to produce and ship our quality marine buoy products and lights all over the world.

This Production position will assist in the manufacturing of lightening, in afast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your main duties will include but not limited to:

• Assembly work
• Testing the function of the products
• Workingin a team environment
• Using hand & power tools
• Machine operation
• Mechanical aptitude
• lifting up to 20kgs

The ideal candidate for this role is a fast learner who is ready to work, eager to get the job done and has:

• A mechanical background in manufacturing would be desirable.
• Physical capability to work in an indoor and outdoor environment where moderate to heavy lifting is required.
• Experience in working with power tools and hand tools
• Multi-tasking abilities and eager to learn
• Current Forklift License * desired - not essential
• willingness to learn!
