Job summary

LAI Group in Victoria seeks a Production Assistant for our Epping plant to support the Production Manager with job tracking, scheduling, documentation and data entry. You will help ensure materials, paperwork and information flow accurately on the floor.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong communication, detail orientation and the ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project is preferred, plus knowledge of electrical standards and schematics.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or looking for first opportunity in the field.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with effective troubleshooting.
• Great attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
• Intermediate computer skills predominantly Excel, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and wiring rules.
• Ability to interpret single line diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and close out production jobs and work orders in Levesys (ERP).
• Prepare and distribute job packs, drawings, travellers and production paperwork to the floor.
• Track job progress against schedule and update the Production Manager on status, delays and risks.
• Maintain accurate production records, including job completion, hours and material usage.
• Assist the Production Manager to maintain the production schedule and daily/weekly plans.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Stores, Engineering and Project teams.
• Liaise with Dispatch and Logistics on completed jobs, deliveries and collections.
• Arrange and minute production meetings and follow up on actions.

Schedule

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime)

Salary (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration)

The Position

As a Production Assistant for switchboards, you will be assisting the Production Manager with job tracking, scheduling, documentation and data entry, so production teams have the right information, paperwork and materials at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

The Candidate
