Job summary

SKAO is seeking an experienced Product Manager to shape product direction and delivery for the SKA-Low telescope from Perth, Australia. You will connect user needs, scientific value, and engineering delivery to align with major construction, integration, commissioning, and operational milestones.

The role focuses on framing problems, setting priorities, and communicating progress in an evidence-based manner to stakeholders across the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Manager in scientific projects or telescope software.
• Ability to translate user needs into clear priorities and roadmaps.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, programme leadership and users.

Responsibilities

• Frame problems from the perspective of telescope users, operators and maintainers.
• Translate outcomes into sequenced, testable increments aligned with milestones and integration constraints.
• Define DONE with measurable success criteria and evidence for verification and commissioning.
• Support clear prioritisation and trade-offs across a broad stakeholder landscape to protect telescope outcomes.
