About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as our new Product Manager!

Stramit’s Product Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and market leadership across Australia by owning the full category performance.

You’ll lead the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline, delivering innovative, compliant, and customer-centric building systems and solutions. You’ll also manage strategic range development, supplier collaboration, and commercial vitality—ensuring Stramit’s product portfolio is optimised for profitability, distribution, and long-term success.

In this role, you will develop, lead, and manage the execution of the portfolio strategy to achieve annual product growth targets for Stramit, while contributing to development and execution of the overall National Category Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product category performance across Stramit’s portfolio
  • Own the NPD pipeline and product register, driving innovation and compliance
  • Manage strategic range development, cost control, and supplier collaboration
  • Champion product launches that meet evolving market needs
  • Oversee product sourcing, setup, and portfolio optimisation
  • Drive profitable growth and expand product distribution nationally
  • Partner on supplier reviews and procurement-led cost initiatives
  • Enable structured product governance through systems and councils
  • Deliver innovation initiatives via cross-functional teams
  • Develop and adherence to IBP Stage Gate processes
  • Support the business with knowledge, insights and facilitate product learning sessions across NPD.
  • Use data and insight to lead ideas and factual discussion
  • Engage and influence key stakeholders
About You

We’re looking for a product management professional, strategic, commercially minded with a passion for product innovation and developing solutions which deliver customer value.

You’ll bring:

  • 8 to 10+ years’ experience in product management or related roles - within the building materials or a related industry is highly sought after.
  • Understanding of building and construction across residential and commercial building in Australia
  • Demonstrated success and understanding of new product commercialisation
  • Attention to detail and organised project management
  • Proven success developing and driving portfolio growth strategies
  • Experience managing product ranges, including NPD, line extensions, and deletions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • High-level understanding of customer segmentation and industry dynamics
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Product information management, CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
