Join one of Australia's leading online retailers as a Product Manager. This fast-paced role involves bringing to market leading brands and product categories sold on several online channels.
The role is based at our Seven Hills office, where you will be exposed to all things product related - from conception to commercialisation. You will assist in managing the full product life cycle and the NPD process.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Stay ahead of consumer and category trends, conducting category reviews to identify new products and suppliers to help grow our range, sales and profit
- New Product Development and sourcing as well as product reordering
- Manage and optimises the existing product range to improve performance and profitability
- Maintain in stock rate and control stock level for existing products range
- Create and Improve Products - Creating, suggesting and improving products that fill a niche in the market and allow the company to remain competitive.
Requirements
- Fluent Mandarin verbal and written communication skills
- At least 5 years experience in a fast paced dynamic product direct sourcing business environment with a background in the areas of automotive, industrial, electronic or technical categories, with technical or mechanical experience
- Understand in detail a wide range of Manufacturing processes, product design, packaging design and artwork processes.
- Have strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting
- Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
- Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, and Strong commercial acumen
- Efficiency and process obsessed.
- People focus. You’re naturally great at dealing with people; whether listening to customers, dealing with suppliers or working internally with our team
- Highly organized multitasker.
- Motivated self starter with a can do attitude.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners with strong Negotiation skills
- Willingness to learn internal programs, systems and processes.
- Permanent resident of Australia, residing in Sydney
