Job summary

Capgemini seeks an experienced PLM Subject Matter Expert and Teamcenter Architect to lead enterprise PLM solutions in Australia. You will drive discovery workshops, design future-state PLM processes, and govern data models and integration across CAD, ERP, and MES platforms.

Role requires hands-on architecture leadership and client-facing consulting in a dynamic environment. You will own Teamcenter architecture, data modelling, and deployment strategies while mentoring teams and guiding

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise PLM with Siemens Teamcenter
• Led end-to-end Teamcenter delivery including discovery, design, configuration, integration, migration, testing and deployment
• Deep knowledge of product structures, BOM management, configuration management, engineering change, workflow, release, variants and lifecycle governance
• Experience in Teamcenter data modeling and configuration, BMIDE, Active Workspace, ITK and enterprise integration approaches
• Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD and at least one ERP or manufacturing platform (Teamcenter-to-SAP and PLM-to-MES/MOM is favorable)
• Experience in regulated manufacturing sectors (defense, aerospace, marine, rail, automotive, energy)
• Strong consulting, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and technical execution skills
• Hands-on architecture leadership while mentoring teams and supporting solution shaping

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and design workshops across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service and IT stakeholders
• Define future-state PLM processes including traceability, BOM, document control, release, configuration, baselines, variants and engineering change
• Govern lifecycle governance across EBOM, MBOM, BOP and as-built configurations
• Define data ownership, system-of-record boundaries, approval controls and lifecycle information flows
• Advise on fit-to-standard processes, operating-model implications and adoption priorities
• Own Teamcenter functional, application, information, integration, security, deployment and environment architecture
• Design or govern Teamcenter data model, business objects, classification, workflows, release states and access controls
• Lead architecture decisions across Active Workspace, BMIDE, ITK, SOA/REST services and integrations
• Guide configuration-versus-customization to protect upgradeability and maintainability
• Provide design assurance across build, migration, testing, deployment and support
• Collaborate with security specialists on hosting, identity, access and data handling requirements
• Produce architecture artefacts for governance and design-review forums

Your role

We are seeking an experienced PLM Subject Matter Expert and Teamcenter Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise product lifecycle management solutions in Australia. The role combines PLM functional expertise, Teamcenter architecture, engineering and manufacturing process knowledge, and client-facing consulting with excellence in the PLM implementation.

Please note Australian citizenship is mandatory for this role.

You will play a key role in:

• Lead discovery and process-design workshops across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service and IT stakeholders.
• Define future-state PLM processes covering requirements traceability, product structures, document control, release, configuration, baselines, variants, effectivity and engineering change.
• Design lifecycle governance across EBOM, MBOM, BOP and as-built product configurations.
• Define data ownership, system-of-record boundaries, approval controls and lifecycle information flows.
• Advise stakeholders on fit-to-standard processes, operating-model implications and adoption priorities.
• Own Teamcenter functional, application, information, integration, security, deployment and environment architecture.
• Design or govern the Teamcenter data model, business objects, classification, workflows, maturity and release states, organization model, access controls and collaboration patterns.
• Lead architecture decisions across Active Workspace, BMIDE, ITK, SOA or REST services, integrations and extension approaches.
• Guide configuration-versus-customization decisions to protect upgradeability, performance, maintainability and reuse.
• Provide design assurance across build, migration, testing, deployment, transition, and support.
• Work with authorized security specialists to address hosting, identity, access, data handling and site requirements.
• Produce architecture and assurance artefacts suitable for formal governance and design-review forums.
  
  

Your profile

• 10+ years of enterprise PLM experience, including substantial Siemens Teamcenter implementation and architecture responsibility.
• Demonstrated leadership of at least one end-to-end Teamcenter delivery spanning discovery, design, configuration, integration, migration, testing and deployment.
• Deep knowledge of product structures, BOM management, configuration management, engineering change, workflow, release, effectivity, variants and lifecycle governance.
• Practical knowledge of Teamcenter data modelling and configuration, BMIDE, Active Workspace, ITK and enterprise integration approaches.
• Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD and at least one ERP or manufacturing platform. Teamcenter-to-SAP and PLM-to-MES/MOM experience are highly regarded.
• Experience in complex engineered-product environments such as defense, aerospace, marine, rail, automotive, energy, industrial equipment or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Strong consulting, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and technical execution skills.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on architecture leads while mentoring teams and supporting solution shaping.
