Are you ready to take your technical expertise to the next level? WesTrac is seeking a passionate and driven Product Health Specialist to join our team, specialising in Underground Hard Rock Vehicles (HRV) and Elphinstone.

Reporting to the Product Health Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving fleet performance, reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for our customers, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This is a Monday to Friday role, based primarily at our Bathurst branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Caterpillar technical teams.
  • Provide expert guidance to site performance specialists and frontline teams on technical issues.
  • Utilise advanced Condition Monitoring tools—including SOS reports, electronic data, inspections, and repair history—to proactively recommend maintenance and operational improvements.
  • Drive fleet performance strategies to optimise machine reliability with key focus on uplifting physical availability and reduce TCO
  • Own and resolve technical issues related to HRV and Elphinstone products, ensuring timely customer outcomes.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects in collaboration with Caterpillar, WesTrac teams, and customers.
  • Develop and implement Life Cycle Cost (LCC) strategies for components and machines, supporting sales contracts and agreements.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and manage complex cross-functional projects.

Skills & Experience

  • High level of customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills – MS Office, email, Internet based applications and mobile devices
  • Knowledge and experience of CAT Diagnostic tools and CAT Information systems is highly desirable
