THE COMPANY

With a strong national footprint and a focus on innovation, the company is evolving quickly, rolling out new store experiences, investing in its private label offer, and fostering a culture that rewards initiative, collaboration, and smart thinking.

THE ROLE

This newly elevated role will lead the development of a diverse range of outdoor lifestyle products. You'll collaborate with a team of experienced category managers, external R&D partners, and offshore manufacturing teams to bring commercially successful and technically sound products to market.

  1. Lead end-to-end product development across multiple outdoor lifestyle categories
  2. Create detailed product briefs and steer development with external partners
  3. Ensure product quality, innovation, and brand consistency across ranges
  4. Manage product certification and regulatory compliance processes
  5. Oversee quality assurance efforts with support from an offshore QC engineer
  6. Collaborate with the category management team during a period of transition
  7. Analyse trends and feed into long-term category strategies
  8. Work cross-functionally with planning, supply, operations, and finance teams

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  1. 3+ years in product development, ideally in technical or lifestyle consumer goods
  2. Experience managing offshore factory relationships (China experience highly regarded)
  3. Strong understanding of product certification and compliance
  4. Solid commercial and strategic mindset
  5. Engineering or technical product background preferred
  6. Comfortable presenting to stakeholders across business units
  7. Adaptable, calm under pressure, and highly collaborative
  8. Ability to balance creativity with process and execution

SALARY

$140K - $160K (depending on experience) + Super + 20% Bonus
