Job summary

Cotton On Kids is seeking a creative Product Developer Assistant in the Girls category. You will bridge the buyer and supplier, ensuring timely production and clear information flow to stakeholders. Your role covers style production, lab dips, trims, and sample coordination, with a focus on ethical product development.

Ideally you bring a fashion/textiles background, strong MS Office/Illustrator skills, and a detail-oriented mindset to manage multiple deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate qualification in fashion/textiles/production is required.
• Fundamental knowledge of product specs, fabrics and garment construction.
• Strong understanding of Cut and Sew is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office and design tools such as Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production and shipping schedules for girls’ products.
• Approve lab dips, trims, strikes offs and bulk fabrics.
• Coordinate samples and assist with technical drawings for products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our Cotton On Kids team as a Product Developer Assistant in our Girls category. As the pivotal link between the buyer and the supplier, you will be responsible for sending accurate information clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring Production is completed in a timely manner. Your key areas of focus will be style production, managing production and shipping schedules, approving lab dips, trims, strikes offs and bulk fabrics, garment measurements and fittings, sample coordination and technical drawings for our products. If you are someone who loves developing ethical products that make a difference to the lives of others, then this could be your new role.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Graduate degree / qualification in relevant field i.e. Fashion, Textiles, Production
• Basic knowledge of product specifications, garment construction and measurement, composition, fabrics and fiber knowledge.
• Understanding of Cut and Sew construction and fabrication is highly regarded
• Proficient capabilities in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Illustrator.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail together with ability to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines
