Job summary

Quantium is a world leader in data science and analytics, seeking a Data Scientist to build AI-native solutions with Python/SQL. You will work across data extraction, cleaning, feature engineering and model development on major cloud platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration across geographies and continuous improvement of AI-native practices.

You will contribute to agentic workflows, apply AI outputs with critical judgment, and grow within a company that values learning and adaptability.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in data science, AI/ML development, or technical consulting.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Solid understanding of data science fundamentals: data preparation, modelling and validation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong communicator — able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) or genuine enthusiasm to learn.
• Understanding of ML/AI fundamentals including how LLMs work, transformer architectures, and when to apply different approaches.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science methodology including feature engineering, model development and testing.
• Build AI-native analytical solutions and agentic workflows, guiding maturity framework with senior team members.
• Evaluate AI outputs and decide when to trust, refine, or override what AI generates.
• Work across data extraction, cleaning, feature engineering and model development on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• Design scalable, reusable analytical approaches for cross-business applicability.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product specialists across geographies to share learnings.
• Support project delivery and suggest process improvements to workflows and methods.
