Job summary

Quantium is seeking a Lead AI Tech Solutions professional to architect and deliver production-grade generative AI applications, leading data scientists and collaborating with clients to translate AI capabilities into tangible business value.

You will guide technical standards, mentor talent, and drive end-to-end delivery while contributing to strategic direction and reusable accelerators across the AI Solutions team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data science, AI and machine learning solution delivery or technical consulting.
• Strong communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Lead AI Tech Solutions is responsible for leading the design and delivery of production-grade AI solutions for clients, managing teams of data scientists to build innovative generative AI applications that address complex business problems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our AI Solutions team, leading the design and delivery of production-grade AI solutions that address complex business problems. You will combine deep technical expertise in AI and machine learning with people leadership, translating emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions that make a real impact for our clients.

• Technical leadership: Architect and lead the delivery of complex generative AI applications, from design through to production deployment, setting technical standards and championing engineering best practices across the team
• People development: Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning to support career growth and team capability
• Solution quality: Oversee end-to-end AI solution delivery, balancing technical excellence with commercial pragmatism and ensuring robust documentation for client self-sufficiency
• Client engagement: Contribute to pre-sales activities including technical scoping, proposal development, and client presentations, translating complex AI concepts into compelling business value propositions
• Strategic contribution: Help shape the direction of the AI Solutions team, identifying opportunities to develop reusable components and accelerators, and staying connected to the evolving AI ecosystem

The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:

• Proven AI leadership: 7 or more years of experience in data science, AI and machine learning solution delivery, or technical consulting, with a demonstrated track record of progression to technical leadership
• Generative AI expertise: Deep understanding of large language model applications and practical experience building with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
• Engineering excellence: Strong Python programming skills with modern software development practices including testing, CI/CD, code quality tools, and cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Architecture thinking: Experience leading the design of production-grade AI solutions and machine learning pipelines using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Vertex AI Pipelines, and DB
• Commercial awareness: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, with experience in effort estimation, scoping, and business development
