Job summary

Century is seeking an experienced Producer - Special Events to lead planning, coordination and delivery of key events across the Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals. You will take ownership from planning through to delivery, working with programming, marketing, ticketing, production, operations and finance teams.

The role is full-time, based in Century's Sydney office, with interstate travel to Perth as required. A hands-on, end-to-end role across the festival lifecycle is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience producing or managing live events, festivals or related work.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in event ticketing, builds, inventory and sales monitoring.
• Experience in event marketing, including digital and live activity.
• Budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation and settlement experience.
• Confidence negotiating with venues, suppliers and contractors.
• Understanding of event logistics, production, staffing and site operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness balancing audience experience and financial outcomes.
• Problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced live events.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and interstate travel.
• Valid Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned special events from planning through to delivery and wrap-up.
• Set up ticketing requirements, pricing, allocations and guest lists.
• Collaborate with marketing to implement event campaigns and assets.
• Coordinate venues, production, AV, staffing and logistics.
• On-ground event-day management with internal teams and partners.
• Create and manage event budgets within approved parameters.
• Negotiate commercial terms with venues, suppliers and talent.
• Handle post-event settlements and reconciliations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage risk, WHS compliance and audience experience requirements.
• Contribute ideas to grow audience reach and Festival experience.
• Oversee cross-festival delivery across Sydney and Perth events.
