Australian Theatre for Young People – Sydney CBD NSW
ATYP has been making theatre with young people for more than 60 years. We’re a national company. We develop and produce new Australian plays, tour our work nationwide, and run programs that give young people real pathways into the industry.
We’re looking for a Producer to join our small team and work closely with our Artistic Director & CEO on the artistic program.
You’ll produce our season, from pre-production through to closing night and acquittal. That means managing budgets, contracts, casting, and schedules, and keeping our productions safe for the young artists who make them. You’ll also help us build our touring, including finding presenters, putting together tour budgets and agreements, and getting shows on the road, including in regional and remote communities. And you’ll help us work out what’s next by scoping new projects, testing whether they’re feasible, and finding the artists and stories we should be backing.
It would be great if you also have touring experience and presenter contacts, have written or acquitted funding applications, have worked in youth arts, or know your way around the Live Performance Award and MEAA agreements.
The role includes evening and weekend work, plus some travel. Time in lieu applies, and we’re open to flexible arrangements.
ATYP is a child-safe organisation. We welcome applications from First Nations people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ people and people living in regional areas.
