Job summary

The Local Project is a fast-growing design publication and content producer operating across Australia, New Zealand, and North America. We’re seeking a producer to coordinate media production projects, ensure timely delivery within budget, and support across pre-, pro-, and post-production stages.

You’ll oversee filming, editing, sound design, colour grading and storytelling, working with cross-functional teams to maintain our high standards and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years experience in media production, preferably as a producer in a fast-paced agency.
• Highly organised with excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
• Interest in expanding skills into video and print.

Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate production activities to deliver on time and within budget.
• Support pre-, pro-, and post-production activities for each project.
• Oversee filming processes and ensure the client’s vision is executed with clear stakeholder communication.
• Oversee editing, sound design, colour grading and overall storytelling quality.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Digital, Partnerships, Design) for asset management and client management.
• Ensure all content meets The Local Project’s brand guidelines and high standards.

Some of the things you’ll be working on...

• Utilising tools to track and coordinate production activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Support pre, pro and post-production activities for each project.
• Oversee the filming process, ensuring the clients vision is executed effectively whilst facilitating communication between crew members and other stakeholders.
• Overview of the editing, sound design, colour grading, progress and overall storytelling.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as: Digital team for asset management, Partnerships team for client management, Design team for visual effects.
• Ensure all content meets The Local Project's high standards of accuracy, style and brand guidelines.

Experience you’ll need…

• We expect you'll have between 3-6 years experience in media production with prior experience as a producer in a fast-paced creative agency, but we are open to skilled candidates outside of that scope.
• Highly organised with superior communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple high-pressure projects at a time.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
• An interest and desire to expand skillset into the visual mediums of Video and Print.
