Job summary

Screencraft is seeking a Producer to join our production team on a fixed-term contract through to December 2026. The role will manage content for our existing client base, running multiple projects, drafting briefs, and keeping work on time and on budget.

Canberra is preferred, with Sydney as an alternate location. You will oversee content across interviews, tutorials, TVCs and brand films, coordinating with Post Production and Finance to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience producing content across multiple formats.
• Track record managing productions end-to-end from brief to delivery.
• Strong attention to detail; essential for success in this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time across competing deadlines.
• Proactive problem solving when things go sideways.
• Willingness to travel for the role.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage content across formats for several clients simultaneously.
• Draft interview questions, conduct interviews and build paper edits.
• Write creative treatments and scripts with examples from previous work.
• Translate client needs into actionable briefs for the internal team.
• Provide creative direction to keep projects on track against milestones.
• Anticipate blockers and plan around them.
• Collaborate with Post Production and Finance to deliver on time and on budget.
• Adopt new tools and workflows as they're introduced.
• Manage relationships with clients, actors, performers and political figures.

The role

We're looking for a Producer to join our production team for a fixed term through to December, managing content for our existing client base. You'll run multiple projects at once, translate client needs into clear briefs, and keep everything on time and on budget. It's fast paced, and the priorities shift daily.

What you'll do

• Produce and manage content across formats including interviews, tutorials, TVCs and brand films, for several clients simultaneously
• Draft interview questions, conduct interviews and build paper edits
• Write creative treatments and scripts (you'll be asked for examples of both from previous work)
• Translate client needs into actionable briefs for the internal team
• Provide creative direction to keep projects on track against their milestones
• Anticipate problems before they become blockers, and plan around them
• Work closely with our Post Production and Finance teams to deliver on time and on budget
• Pick up new tools and workflows as they're introduced
• Manage relationships with clients, actors, performers and political figures with equal confidence

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' experience producing content, ideally across a similar mix of formats and clients
• A track record managing productions end to end, from brief to delivery
• Strong attention to detail - this role won't work without it
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• The judgement to prioritise and manage your own time across competing deadlines
• A problem solver's instinct for troubleshooting when things go sideways
• A genuine appetite for fast paced, varied work
• Travel is required for this role
