Job summary

Metricon Homes, Australia’s largest home builder, is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Analyst based at Notting Hill Head Office. You will implement significant supply chain changes and provide timely analytical support to Category Managers and estimators.

You will develop price files and supplier agreements, assist in supplier sourcing, and prepare monthly KPI reports while collaborating with the Procurement Manager to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a relevant procurement/supply chain role
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capability
• Knowledge of distribution, logistics and forecasting systems
• Strong procurement process understanding and stakeholder communication

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain price files and master item databases with quality control
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers and review trial periods
• Administer supplier allocations as approved by Category Manager
• Prepare category-specific analysis reports under direction of Category Manager
• Produce monthly KPI performance reports for management
• Support Contracts Administration with supplier agreements and related tasks
• Handle additional projects as assigned by Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

The Procurement & Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the implementation of significant changes across the supply chain and to provide timely analytical and support to the relevant Procurement Category Managers and other key Stakeholders such as Estimators. Based in our Notting Hill Head Office, you will assist in procurement market approaches or negotiations as and where required in consultation with the Procurement Manager, including the implementation of Supplier Agreements that support the business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Development and Maintenance of Price File and Master Item Database/Quality Control
• Assist in the sourcing of new suppliers, including review of trail periods
• Administer all supplier allocations as approved by Category Manager
• Complete category specific analysis reports comparing all required elements under direction of Category Manager
• Complete monthly performance reports benched against KPI targets
• Assist the Contracts Administration Manager with the generation and maintenance of the supplier agreements; and
• Other projects as nominated to be completed in full, on time, as agreed with Procurement & Supply Chain Manager.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified in a business or related discipline with 2 years experience in a relevant organisation role or minimum 2 years experience in a Estimating, Site Management or related role
• Building industry background would be an advantage but it's not required
• Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge (Excel in particular)
• Accuracy and willingness to learn
• Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office/Windows environment particularly Excel
• Knowledge and experience with distribution, logistics and forecasting systems
• Knowledge and experience using various systems and project methodologies
• Well‑developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and coordinate available time and resources for maximum effectiveness
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
• Strong Procurement process understanding; and
• Excellent Communication & Presentation skills.

This is a Full Time Position and Requires a National Police check to be undertaken by the successful applicant.
