Job summary

Glencore Ravensworth is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our Supply team. This part-time role (three days per week, with scope for up to five days to cover leave) supports timely and cost-efficient procurement across Ravensworth Complex.

You will source goods and services, convert requisitions to POs, and ensure invoices and deliveries are processed promptly while maintaining supplier relationships and records. SAP MM experience is desirable, and a flexible team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing with strong supplier management and commercial principles.
• Ability to balance operational needs with cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Experience with SAP MM will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities in line with company policies and approvals.
• Source goods and services to achieve best total cost, quality, availability and delivery outcomes.
• Convert purchase requisitions into accurate purchase orders and ensure timely invoicing and deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve supply outcomes.
• Coordinate with site, maintenance, warehouse, finance and operations teams to ensure timely supply.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier data, pricing and documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with legislation and company requirements.
• Provide support to team members.
