Job summary

The Torus Group is seeking a Buyer to join the Supply Chain team across the North West, including Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. You will support procurement activities across goods, works and services, ensuring value for money and compliant processes.

You will manage tendering exercises, supplier relationships and contract performance, driving continuous improvement and cost savings across multiple spend categories while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
• Experience in construction or housebuilding compliance.
• Strong knowledge of full procurement lifecycle and sourcing methodologies.
• Experience leading tendering and supplier negotiations.
• CIPS membership or working towards a procurement qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities across spend categories.
• Lead and support market testing, RFIs, RFQs, ITTs and mini-competitions.
• Provide procurement guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Develop specifications and evaluate supplier responses.
• Manage supplier relationships and contract performance reviews.
• Identify savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
