Job summary

Smartgroup is seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist in Sydney to manage supplier onboarding, contracts, governance, and performance across the business. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant procurement processes that support operational and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, contracts, or a similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding of new suppliers, including compliance documentation and system setup.
• Coordinate supplier contracts, renewals, amendments, and contract administration activities.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and KPIs.
• Support supplier governance activities, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, resolving issues and coordinating actions where required.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, contract registers, and procurement data.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier experience, and operational efficiency.
