Job summary

Myer Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to optimise supplier performance and ensure contract compliance within our national procurement policy. You will engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver value through strategic sourcing and cost reductions.

The role focuses on IT software and marketing procurement, managing RFPs/RFIs, and driving governance across supplier engagements, with flexible hybrid work arrangements in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT and/or Marketing procurement in a complex organisation.
• Led multiple sourcing events for SaaS solutions and IT managed services.
• Strong negotiation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software licensing (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, IBM, Microsoft).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce risk and costs.
• Create RFPs/RFIs and manage tender processes per policy.
• Lead commercial engagements including changes, variations and supplier performance.
• Provide procurement governance and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate pricing and terms to inform future sourcing and renegotiation.
• Drive organisational change to maximise value from vendor relationships.
• Achieve savings targets through competitive contracting and process improvements.

A fantastic career opportunity is now available for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team. This role will focus on improving supplier performance and ensuring contract compliance and adherence to Myer Group's Procurement policy for all new supplier engagements. This role involves effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

About the role

• Responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that reduce commercial risk, deliver value and service improvement to Myer through supplier consolidation, efficiency and price reduction initiatives
• Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) and manage the tender process aligned to Myer Procurement Policy ensuring all service and commercial requirements are captured
• Lead commercial engagements relating to change requests, contract variations, disputes, new statements of work and supplier performance management
• Provide procurement governance and guidance to internal and external stakeholders relating to the Myer procurement policy and process
• Conduct detailed evaluations of pricing and terms and conditions of new and existing contracts to develop future sourcing and re-negotiation strategies and similar analysis of new contracts to ensure most favourable business outcome
• Drive change in the organisation by challenging existing arrangements, interrogating cost and processes to maximise the commercial benefit from Myer's vendor relationships
• Achieve savings targets by sourcing competitive contracts; process efficiencies and by managing vendor contracts

About you

• Experience specialising in IT and/or Marketing procurement and working in a complex organisation
• Seasoned experience in managing Tier 1 IT software and managed service suppliers
• Ability to lead multiple end to end sourcing events for new SaaS solutions and IT managed services
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Deep understanding of Software licencing (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, IBM, Microsoft)
• Accountable and results focused with the ability to develop plans and strategies according to stakeholder requirements which deliver great commercial outcomes for the business
• Confident communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, operating with influence and confidence
