Procurement, Purchasing Officer Food Service

Due to continued expansion and growth in our innovative broadline foodservice distribution business, we require the services of another procurement specialist.

We specialise in providing Restaurants, Cafes, Pubs, Clubs & Hotels with quality foodservice products sourced from our strategic brand partners.

This role is pivotal to our success as you will be responsible for the purchasing & sourcing of core food products from a portfolio of current and new suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase order placement
• Drive supplier relationships through your network of key supplier contacts
• Align purchasing KPI’s to business outcomes to drive supplier support & revenue streams
• Manage our clients’ expectations through the procurement of the right products & brands
• Plan and develop profitable new supplier opportunities that are aligned with our target customer segments
• Drive accountability into our supplier network for best in industry products
• Negotiate contracts and pricing
• Work with our on-road sales and marketing team to provide expert knowledge
• Provide market intelligence to all stakeholders
• Perform cost and yield analysis
• Ensure order fulfillment meets targets
• Manage slow moving items to minimise expired stock
• Ensure suppliers adhere to receival requirements
• Manage product complaints through our Brand partners
• Actively support promotional programs
• Liaise with our warehouse team daily with any quality concerns

Requirements

• Must have extensive computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High degree of communication will be required
• Forward procurement planning experience
• Sales experience is beneficial
