Job summary

V/Line is seeking a Procurement Manager Policy and Capability to lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of procurement policies and tools. You will provide expert advice on policy frameworks, navigate Victorian government requirements, and drive adoption across the organisation.

You will partner with internal teams and government agencies to raise procurement maturity, align with evolving policy obligations, and support capability initiatives that enable effective policy

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement policy, governance, and capability development within a complex organisation, with government or public sector procurement policy experience highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Victorian Government procurement legislation, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing procurement policies and policy changes, and driving organisational adoption through frameworks and capability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of procurement policies, frameworks, procedures and tools.
• Provide trusted advice on procurement policy frameworks and legislative obligations across the organisation.
• Monitor government procurement policy changes and support their implementation with practical policies and capability initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement practices and mature procurement capability across V/Line.
• Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and government agencies to support policy adoption and governance initiatives.
