Job summary

Maxwell Apprentices in Mayfield is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support hydraulic repair, manufacturing and engineering operations. The role covers sourcing and purchasing materials, obtaining quotes, raising POs and tracking deliveries, while maintaining supplier records and pricing.

About the Role

Sourcing and purchasing materials, components, consumables and subcontract services

Obtaining and comparing supplier quotes based on price, quality and lead times

Raising purchase orders and following up outstanding deliveries

Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing and purchasing records

Working closely with workshop, stores, sales and management teams

Building strong supplier relationships and resolving supply or delivery issues

Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing processes
