Job summary

Talentpath is looking for a proactive Procurement Officer in Australia. You will support day-to-day purchasing, process requisitions and orders, and liaise with stakeholders and suppliers to meet procurement needs. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and cost-effective outcomes within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role.
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors will be advantageous.
  • Understanding of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and supplier management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management abilities.
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities across the business.
  • Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company procedures.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure procurement requirements are met.
  • Support sourcing activities, including obtaining quotations and evaluating supplier options.
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist with issue resolution when required.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and documentation.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver cost-effective procurement outcomes.
