ENGIE Australia is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive strategic sourcing and contract management across operating sites and projects in Melbourne. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, tender management, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management within a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance, compliance requirements and best-practice procurement processes.
  • Experience in category management and contract lifecycle management, with the ability to deliver commercial value and manage supplier performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, translating business needs into effective commercial and contractual outcomes.
  • Partner with operational, project, engineering, HSE, legal and finance stakeholders to deliver procurement strategies and business objectives.
  • Develop category, supplier and supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies that drive value, innovation and performance.
  • Manage tendering, negotiation and contract execution activities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, contract obligations and commercial outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
  • Embed health, safety, sustainability and ethical procurement principles into sourcing decisions and supplier engagements.

Job description

In this role, you will deliver safe, compliant and value-driven procurement outcomes, partnering with stakeholders across operations, projects and corporate functions to optimise supplier performance, manage commercial risk and support ENGIE's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, translating business needs into effective commercial and contractual outcomes.
  • Partner with operational, project, engineering, HSE, legal and finance stakeholders to deliver procurement strategies and business objectives.
  • Develop category, supplier and supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies that drive value, innovation and performance.

You are an experienced procurement professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for delivering commercial value while maintaining strong governance and stakeholder relationships. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy influencing outcomes and are comfortable working across a broad range of categories and business functions.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, tender management, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management within a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance, compliance requirements and best-practice procurement processes.

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including the ability to interpret spend data, supplier KPIs and operational metrics to support decision-making.
