Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking an Administration Officer to support the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital in Moruya with procurement and inventory tasks and front-desk duties.

The position is permanent part-time (38 hours) with Admin Off Lvl 3 classification and a salary range of AU$73,915.12–AU$76,218.80 per year. You’ll handle the hospital switchboard and provide essential clerical support while upholding patient privacy and service standards.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication with stakeholders and attention to detail in writing.
  • Competency with common ICT for word processing, data entry, emails and internet searches.

The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.

Located in south‑east Moruya, under four hours drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What you'll be doing

The Hospital Receptionist/Administrative Officer provides administration and clerical support, including the management of the hospital switchboard which to support quality communication across the facility.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience working in a similar support role in a complex organisation as an effective team member.
  • Ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including attention to detail when writing and good listening skills when communicating with managers, colleagues and members of the public.
  • Competency in the use of common information and communication technology for example programs for word processing, data entry, emails and internet searches.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, providing an excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Motivated, able to demonstrate initiative in relation to known work procedures and work under broad supervision.
  • A broad understanding of health and medical terminology.
