Downer is hiring two Procurement Coordinators on contract through June 2027 to support Health, Education and Defence projects. You will coordinate Service Delivery Partner engagement, procurement activities and contract administration to maintain a reliable, cost-effective supply chain.

Reporting to the Project Operations Transition Manager, you’ll onboard partners, manage procurement docs and supplier records, compare rates and support transparent procurement decisions.

Competenze

• High school certificate or tertiary qualification plus 3+ years in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Strong administration skills and experience managing documentation and supplier data.
• Experience with procurement processes, contract administration and related systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across teams.
• Defence project work requires Australian Citizenship.

We currently have an opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator, where you'll coordinate Service Delivery Partner engagement, procurement activities and contract administration to support high-quality outcomes.

We're seeking two Procurement Coordinators to join us on contract roles through to June 2027, supporting Health, Education and Defence projects. Reporting to the Project Operations Transition Manager, you'll coordinate Service Delivery Partner engagement, procurement activities and contract administration, helping maintain a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Coordinate Service Delivery Partner onboarding, documentation, system activation and compliance requirements, including licences, insurance, certifications and clearances.
  
• Manage day-to-day procurement administration, supplier records, work orders, vendor payment enquiries and procure-to-pay communications.
  
• Compare supplier rates, coordinate Best and Final Offer requests and maintain clear records to support competitive, transparent procurement decisions.
  
• Maintain accurate procurement databases and deliver weekly and monthly reporting on supplier performance, licensing, capacity, diversity and compliance.
  
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, service partners and project teams while identifying process improvements and business efficiencies.
  

What You'll Bring

• A high school certificate or tertiary qualification, together with 3+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain-related roles.
  
• Strong administration skills, with experience managing documentation, workflows, supplier information and procurement processes.
  
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and relevant operational or financial systems.
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  
• Strong time management, attention to detail, sound judgement and a professional, ethical approach to decision-making.
  
• As these roles support a Defence project, Australian Citizenship is required. These contract positions can be based from any Downer office nationally.
