The Opportunity

Based at our Fremantle head office, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being directly involved in delivery. As the Procurement & Contracts Officer, you’ll play a key role in implementing and maintaining CMG’s new Contract Management System (CMS) and strengthening supplier governance across the group.

This position requires a proactive individual who takes ownership of their work - locating, validating, and consolidating agreements, managing supplier information, and ensuring data is accurate, compliant, and accessible. You’ll engage closely with business units, suppliers, and our system partner to establish a robust governance framework that supports CMG’s future ERP implementation.

If you’re detail-oriented, organised, and take pride in achieving results through structured, practical work, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within one of Australia’s leading food and agribusinesses.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Management System (CMS) Rollout and Maintenance
  • Identify, collect, and verify all contracts, licences, and agreements across CMG business units.
  • Upload, tag, and maintain contracts within the SharePoint CMS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Reconcile and migrate the Important Documents Register to the new system.
  • Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high data integrity.
Supplier Onboarding and Compliance
  • Manage the supplier onboarding workflow in line with CMG’s Procurement Procedure and Delegation of Authority.
  • Issue, track, and review supplier pre-qualification questionnaires and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all requirements are met prior to approval.
  • Maintain supplier approval records and monitor revalidation and expiry cycles.
Contract and Catalogue Administration
  • Maintain the centralised contract register, including key metadata, document links, and expiry dates.
  • Track renewal notifications and coordinate timely reviews with contract owners.
  • Support catalogue maintenance and supplier data governance for ERP readiness.
Governance, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain detailed records of progress, risks, and actions.
  • Provide regular updates and escalate issues where required.
  • Support procurement and finance with accurate supplier and contract data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance process efficiency and compliance.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Build effective working relationships across procurement, finance, QA, and operations.
  • Partner with the Group Procurement Manager to ensure consistent governance and system adoption.
  • Act as a key contact for business units requiring support with supplier or contract management activities.
The successful applicant will possess
  • 3+ years in procurement, contracts administration, or supplier governance.
  • Strong project coordination or transformation support experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete detailed administrative and data migration tasks.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: We offer remuneration competitive with current market rates.
  • Recognition & Rewards: We regularly recognise and reward our people, as well as encouraging employee referrals to our business.
  • Paid Parental Leave: We provide 13 weeks of paid parental leave on top of NES entitlements
  • Health & Well-being: We offer discounted private health insurance along with an Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate household family members.
  • Career Growth: We provide opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Discounted Products: We offer great prices across our premium quality Pork, Beef and Lamb products
  • Exceptional Team Atmosphere: We promote a supportive team environment, where working together creates a sense of belonging and we celebrate our wins together.
