Job summary

City FM Australia in Mulgrave, Victoria, is seeking a Category Specialist to join our Procurement team. You will lead end-to-end sourcing and tender activities, manage supplier performance, and negotiate commercial agreements across facilities management and indirect spend categories.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement, sourcing or commercial management.
• Experience leading end-to-end sourcing and tender processes.
• Strong supplier relationship and contract management experience.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies that support business objectives.
• Lead sourcing and tender activities from market engagement through to implementation.
• Deliver cost savings, value creation and risk management outcomes.
• Analyse spend data and identify strategic procurement opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance and contractual compliance.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract implementation activities.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve operational issues.
• Facilitate supplier reviews and performance discussions.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance and Procurement.
• Partner with suppliers and contractors to achieve business outcomes.
• Provide procurement expertise and commercial support across the business.
• Monitor category performance through reporting and analysis.
• Track savings initiatives and supplier performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance commercial and operational outcomes.
