Job summary

Wise Recruitments is sourcing three Process Workers for an Australian food manufacturing site in Clayton, VIC. You will join a production team, handling blending, processing and packaging of dry powder products on site.

The role requires repetitive manual handling, reliable attendance and the ability to follow procedures in a fast-paced environment. Training in GMP and safety is provided, with a focus on hygiene and equipment safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production activities involving blending, processing and packaging of powdered foods.
• Manually lift and carry bags up to 25 kg and handle raw materials as directed.
• Load ingredients into blending/processing equipment and feed lines.
• Assist machine operators with feeding raw materials into production lines.
• Perform repetitive manual handling tasks throughout shifts.
• Assist with weighing, measuring and preparing raw materials.
• Pack, seal, label and prepare finished products for storage or dispatch.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas; follow GMP and food safety procedures.
• Adhere to PPE and workplace safety requirements; support general factory duties.

Our client is a well-established, family-owned Australian food manufacturing business operating since 1983. Specialising in the development, blending and packaging of dry powdered food products, the company supplies a diverse range of customers across Australia and international markets.
With a strong reputation for quality, reliability and manufacturing excellence, the business operates multiple production and blending lines from its Clayton facility.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking three reliable, physically fit and hardworking Process Workers to join their production team.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production activities involving the blending, processing and packaging of powdered food products.
• Manually lift, carry and handle bags of raw materials weighing up to 25 kg, following safe manual handling procedures.
• Load powdered ingredients into blending and processing equipment as instructed.
• Assist machine operators with feeding raw materials into production lines.
• Perform repetitive manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Assist with weighing, measuring and preparing raw materials according to production requirements.
• Pack, seal, label and prepare finished products for storage or dispatch.
• Maintain cleanliness of production equipment, workstations and surrounding areas.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with general factory duties as required to support production targets.

Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements:

• Physically capable of performing repetitive manual handling tasks, including lifting bags weighing up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable working in a powdered food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and undertake physically demanding tasks.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and manual handling practices.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining consistent attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a production team.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling food ingredients and following production procedures.

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, production or factory environments.
• Experience handling powdered ingredients, dry food products or bulk raw materials.
• Familiarity with industrial blending, mixing or packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety standards.
• Previous experience in physically demanding production or warehouse roles.

Working Environment
Successful candidates will be working in an active food manufacturing facility specialising in dry powder blending and packaging.
The role involves:

• Regular manual handling of bags weighing up to 25 kg.
• Repetitive lifting, loading and movement of raw materials.
• Working around industrial blending and packaging machinery.
• Exposure to airborne food powders and dust, managed through appropriate workplace safety controls.
• Maintaining strict hygiene and contamination prevention standards.
• Working collaboratively with production operators and supervisors to meet daily manufacturing targets.
